The Ford Focus was the number one selling car in Ireland for 2010, and if you thought Ford couldn’t improve on existing then you were wrong. The new Ford Focus model is everything and more to its predecessors.
Some of the new electronic features the new car will have are lane-keeping assist that steers the car back on track along motorways, torque vectoring that brakes the inside front wheel and apportions engine torque in hard corners to aid stability and collision mitigation that brakes to help avoid low-speed shunts, headlamp dipping, voice-activated controls, DAB radio, rain-sensing wipers and traffic-sign recognition.
The new Ford Focus will be available at first in ten different body styles, ranging from a five-door hatchback to an estate (for the American Focus). It will also come with the option of four interior trims and the engines will be the usual petrol and diesel engines.
The new Ford Focus will go on sale in Ireland in March 2011.
