An American man by the name of James Harlan has built what seems to be the most realistic and detailed scalextric car track ever made. The track has taken the car enthusiast almost 3 years to build and has cost him in and around €5,000.
Mr. Harlan created this amazing track by using a mixture of fibreboard, copper tape, electric wires and some paint to make it an incredible 145ft long.
It also features life-like pit lanes where cars can re-fuel, a 19ft-long bridge and even has accurate scenery, skyscrapers, safety cars and television cameras.
As you would of already guessed Mr.Harlan has no shortage of friends queuing up to play and he often holds race nights with up to 30 cars.
But he’s not stopping there he says ” this isn’t the end – I’ve only just begun.”
I wonder what’s next?
