Thursday, January 6th, 2011If you like auctions and you are looking for a second hand car a little different for 2011, well then this used hydro-car is just the thing for you. It’s currently on auction on eBay for a staggering €594,051 but I’m sure if you bid lower you could get yourself a bargain.
The hydro-car also known as the Dobbertin was created by Rick Dobbertin and it took him over 19,000 hours to make in a nine year period. But be warned that this car is not the most ideal car for getting around the city, and the creator will be the first to tell you that “If your looking for a daily driver – this isn’t it” .
The engine comes from a Chevrolet and holds 750bhp, but it needs every bit of power it has as it weights a massive 4tons. It certainly isn’t the quickest car on land but it can reach speeds of (more…)
The, new Swiss car made of bamboo, which has a an inflatable roof has been unveiled
Wednesday, January 5th, 2011A new car made of BamBoo that has an inflatable roof which changes colour depending on the mood of the occupants, ridiculous or impossible either way it has been done.
Swiss motor company Rinspeed have revealed their latest concept car, the BamBoo. This new car will be fully launched in March at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
The Swiss motor company compare the new car to a golf cart but claims the car gives off the spirit of the South of France and St. Tropez in the 1970’s.
Rinspeed have called in Swiss artist James Rizzi to paint a pop art concept version of the BamBoo, complete with a “Rizzi Bird” on the roof that changes colour according to the mood of (more…)
ESB launch their new ecars website, as electric cars are no longer a thing of the future
Wednesday, January 5th, 2011A couple of years ago if someone asked you to describe an electric car you would probably have described a hairdryer on four wheels. Well today this image has well and truly changed with some of the major car manufactures designing high powered electric cars.
BMW and Audi is just a couple of the car companies who are moving with the future and developing electric cars or ecars as they are also known.

Beyonce buys Jay-Z a sports car worth $1.3 million for his birthday
Tuesday, December 14th, 2010Happy birthday darling, here’s a Bugatti Veyron. Well I’m sure it went something like that when Beyonce Knowles gave her husband Jay-Z a Bugatti Veyron for his 41st birthday.
This amazing new car is worth a staggering $1.3 million. Beyonce put in the order for the car nearly a year ago to make sure she had the car in time for his birthday.
The Bugatti broke the Guinness World land speed record to be named the fastest road car in the world. The top speed reached was 267mph,

Project Kahn release their stunning new 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged RS600
Sunday, November 21st, 2010The guys at Project Kahn have done it again this time with the new 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged RS600. The designers have put more of the focus on the owner and the breathtaking changes include a 10 piece body kit complete with a sports exhaust and colour code.
The interior has been dramatically changed with the in the introduction of quilted leather to the front and rear seats, dashboard and glovebox. The theme Project Kahn get across is utter comfort and luxury.

Toyota Prius celebrates 10 years in production by releasing a limited edition model
Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010To mark the 10th anniversary of the Toyota Prius, Toyota’s designers have come up a more sporty looking model to celebrate the hybrids 10th year in production.
The anniversary model will be limited to 1,000 units across the U.K. (if your interested in one contact Toyota Ireland) the limited edition model comes with a slick body kit, 17-inch alloy wheels and rear dark-tinted privacy glass. Bosch release their newly developed “blindspot” assistant
Monday, November 1st, 2010Bosch over the last two decades has made itself the market leader in ultrasonic sensors for motor vehicles. Following on from their design of the “parking assistant” which has became standard in most new cars around since 2006 have moved their technology forward to produce what they call the “side view assist” SVA. The SVA is designed to help car drivers when changing lanes by warning them of any dangers that may be in their ” blindspot”.
